R!

I know I'm late to the bandwagon on these, but I recently started Flickr and Tumblr accounts. I started thinking about what if I ever lost all of my photos on this computer and only had my FB back-ups, and was also wondering how I might also get my photos mild recognition on other formats besides the random "like" on Facebook, thus the Tumblr. I'll admit I'm more using the Tumblr to find pretty images of outfits, backpacking adventures, and lovely interiors, but I do post a random photo from my Flickr account every so often. If you have either of these accounts let me know!

Honestly wtf

It's been raining for days here in Victoria, and I feel like I haven't seen the sun in days. Sometimes the wind is so bad it shakes the windows, and being on the top floor I can often hear the rain pound on the roof. I spend my Saturday not leaving the apartment once, and watched the rain come in at a 45 degree angle at times from the comfort of my couch. And then I would see friends' posts on Facebook about the beautiful weather they're experiencing on the east coast...

So I thought it would be nice to post some lovely photos of the sun and light play, to remember what it's like.

Sorry I've been non-existent on the internet in general! We had no service in Yellowstone and I couldn't  connect to National Park Wifi (if it even exists!). My mind is mashed potatoes right now, but I'll share some of my favorite photos from this trip thus far:

Attack of the Cute

I've always loved rabbits since I was a kid. Since we were two years old, my twin sister and I would always get a bunny rabbit at easter time. The obsession of cute fuzzy things spawned from there, hence the reference to rabbits in the title of this blog.

It's weird... even though I love rabbits, I don't ever want to own one. I know there are domesticated rabbits, many of them who need good homes, but I think it's one of those types of things of "you want what you can't have" for me. Rabbits are something to be admired from a distance, and squealed at up close, but only for short periods of time.

When we move to Victoria, I intend on doing some type of wall collage-- something that was inspired via Pinterest (where most of these images came from). I like the idea of using different shapes, sizes, and mediums (so not just all photographs or art) and possibly to incorporate some mirrors.

In our current apartment (before we took most of it down), we had a lot of hanging pieces of art and photos that took up the space well. White walls are boring to me and we weren't allowed to paint, so hanging fun pieces up was the best next thing. I think with a wall collage not only will it give our apartment a funky bohemian/eclectic aesthetic, it will also allow room for new pieces!
